What It Is

Paternity Testing That Is Safe During Pregnancy.

Non-invasive prenatal paternity testing uses cell-free fetal DNA present in the mother's bloodstream to determine paternity during pregnancy. It requires only a maternal blood draw and a cheek swab from the alleged father.

There is no needle near the pregnancy. No amniocentesis. No risk to the baby. Testing is available from 7 weeks gestation. We come to your location — your home or another private setting of your choosing.

If your OB-GYN has referred you, we coordinate directly with you from that point forward. Your physician's office is not involved beyond the referral.

Legal admissibility: Standard NIPT is not collected under chain-of-custody protocols. If legal admissibility is needed, contact us before scheduling — different collection protocols apply and must be established before any sample is taken.

Why It Is Safe

No Invasive Procedure. No Risk.

No Amniocentesis

No needle near the pregnancy, placenta, or amniotic fluid. A standard blood draw only.

Standard Blood Draw

The maternal sample is identical to routine prenatal blood work. Quick, safe, and familiar.

Simple Cheek Swab

The paternal sample is a painless buccal cheek swab. No blood draw required from the alleged father.

Early Testing

Available from 7 weeks gestation. An ultrasound is recommended for accurate dating but is not required.

Important Notice
About Inconclusive Results
In rare cases, results may be inconclusive due to low fetal DNA concentration in the maternal blood — more common in very early pregnancies. If this occurs, a recollection may be required. Recollection fees of $500–$600 apply. We will communicate clearly before any additional charges are processed.
Questions & Answers

Prenatal Paternity — FAQ.

Is this test safe for my pregnancy?
Yes. The test requires only a standard maternal blood draw. There is no procedure involving the pregnancy, placenta, or amniotic fluid. It carries no known risk to the pregnancy.
How early can testing be done?
Testing is available from 7 weeks gestation. An ultrasound is recommended for the most accurate dating but is not required. Testing earlier than 7 weeks increases the risk of an inconclusive result.
Can the alleged father be tested separately?
Yes. The paternal cheek swab can be collected at a separate appointment if needed. Let us know before scheduling so we can coordinate accordingly.
Will my OB-GYN be notified of my results?
No. Results are delivered directly and confidentially to you. Your OB-GYN receives a copy only if you request it in writing.
Are results legally admissible?
Standard NIPT is not collected under legal chain-of-custody protocols. If legal admissibility is required, this must be established before any sample is collected. Contact us to discuss your situation.
What if my results are inconclusive?
In rare cases, low fetal DNA concentration — more common in early pregnancy — can cause an inconclusive result. A recollection may be required. Recollection fees of $500–$600 apply. We communicate clearly before any additional charges are processed.
Where does collection take place?
At a location of your choosing — your home or another private setting. We do not collect at OB-GYN offices, clinics, or shared collection centers.
Can I use this test if I have a multiple pregnancy?
Multiple pregnancies can affect fetal DNA levels in maternal blood. Contact us to discuss your specific situation before scheduling.
